Research team expertise

Project team members are experienced researchers from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi and from University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary Medicine Ion Ionescu de la Brad from Iasi. Those have relevant experience in non-thermal plasma electrical discharges and in growing seeds in laboratory conditions. Their main fields of expertise are:

  • Building the experimental multi-reactors non-thermal plasma device for Plasma Activated Water production
  • Non- thermal plasma applications
  • Plasma Activated Water chemical characterization
  • Plants treatment performing at seed in laboratory conditions
  • Evaluation of cytogenetic effects on plants
  • Biochemical determinations

    Expertise

    Professor Radu Burlica is currently a UTIasi professor in the Department of Electrical Power. Professor Burlica has been working in the field of electrical discharge non-thermal plasma applications and reactor design for 16 years. He has published over 13 peer reviewed journal articles with over 300 ISI citations and has written 6 books. His work has been supported by CNCSIS, UEFISCDI, National Science Foundation USA, and others.
